Punch Drunk

So, a friend and I were discussing how much we love leggings in RL. I know I personally wear them with almost everything, from shorts to dresses to pajamas. My favorite ones are the transparent tights-like ones, but have a nice little hem on the bottom. Well, now they exist in SL, too, except I added adorable white hearts. You know you’ve seen her on the quad. She’s that girl who has copies of Kant and Sartre in her hobo tapestry-bag. Her diaphonous clothes float around her as the warm breeze ruffles through the trees and she tucks her long hair behind her ear, flicking her cigarette on the ground. Well, now she’s invaded Punch Drunk. Come check her out and take her home.

By now, I’m sure you’ve all heard of Relay For Life and know what a great cause it is. I wanted to do something to help the Relay folks, so I decided to make a new outfit and donate all the proceeds of said outfit to charity. I decided to make a Brownies uniform, since the Girl Scouts of America is such a great charitable organization. It’s not the modern Brownies uniform, but rather the uniform I remember from when I was in Brownies. I remember, as a six-year-old, totally digging the retro brown-and-harvest-gold color scheme. I was literally hit with inspiration today. Seriously. There was an awful wind storm where I live as I was walking to class. It’s been beautiful here and small green buds are beginning to appear on tree branches. Not three steps out the door, I was struck in the face by one of said pretty branches. After applying Neosporin to my scratches and untangling the pretty, scratchy branch from my hair, I thought: Make an outfit! So I did.
