Support Peaceful Protest in Burma 9/28

This Friday, 9/28, Americans and Europeans are wearing red shirts to support the peaceful protesters in Burma. Here’s blip from a website:

“On 28th September 2007, the Burmese democracy activists are asking the international community to wear a RED shirt or top, in solidarity with those currently engulfed in the fight of their lives in Burma against the most despicable regime, which our government had supported since 1997 when it allowed Burma to join ASEAN.

This simple act of solidarity will further inflame the hopes and strength of those who have struggled and resisted peaceably for 20 years now.”

Subscribe-O-Matic Is The New Black

Baaa-aaa. I’ve joined seemingly every other shop in SL and am now using the Subscribe-O-Matic kiosks. What is this new-fangled device, you ask?

“It lets you send messages and items to a large group of people, just like group notices do, but without actually requiring those people to join a Second Life group.” taken from here.

All you have to do is click on the sign in any Punch Drunk shop. The sign is bright blue, placed obviously and says “Click me to join the PD Update Group.” Then you’re done! It doesn’t take up a slot in your SL groups because it runs independently from that function. You’ll get notices, LM’s, pictures and freebies from it without having to be in a group. One click to subscribe and if you want to unsubscribe, you just click the sign again and choose the option. This will be replacing the old “I *heart* Punch Drunk” group, so change soon before the group goes away.

I’m pretty psyched about this and I hope you guys are too :)

Fall Preview

It’s been a while, guys. How have you been? How’s your mom?

I’ve not been sitting idly by, wiling my days away in SL. I’ve actually been working on the fall line. It’s themed, so I wanted to release it all at once. The theme for fall is from Polaroid Stories, a play by Naiomi Iizuka. The play concerns classical greek mythological characters who’ve turned up a modern, homeless street kids. If you’d like to learn more about the play, you can find info here.

I’ve decided to give each character an outfit that represents them in the context of the play. There will be 11 outfits total. I’ve got previews for you below. Hope you like them!
